1. We Make Magic
What is magic? It’s fake. But it’s real in the world, highly entertaining, and when it’s done right — it feels like the best kind of thrill ride. It’s like a roller coaster, you pay your pennies and you experiencing something that’s seemingly impossible.
It’s called FUN and it’s what we do best for the people we work with. They have a dream, and it’s usually to bring joy to people via high-quality, super brilliant ideas and products — might be ace entertainment, healthy food or breakthrough tech — and they engage us to work our magic. We don’t lie, but we don’t skimp on using every trick in the book, and because the tricks change daily these days, we keep adjusting our act so that no trick is musty. We work carefully, but we also dare to work the phones and try things never seen before — to wow clients and their audiences. Because who doesn’t want to wow people?
Magic in PR, social, and influencer marketing is:
Listening to the client
We listen hard. We present all the cool and viable options, and we retain flexibility at all times to keep serving until we get it right. We continually adjust based on feedback, budget, and performance.
Strategy
We like to envision the best possible outcome within the scope, and work backwards to figure out how to get there.
Delivery
Expectations are set and we don’t forget. Our goal is always to overdeliver, but getting over the finish line on time is something we take pride in. We’ve been on both sides of the creative table: We know that nothing is worse than feeling you’ve been sold a bridge, and then you get a thing that can’t take you to where you need to go.
2. Awesome Client: High Score Game Arcade
Launched in February 2024, High Score Game Arcade is the brainchild of Victor Varnado. From humble but mighty improv comedy beginnings, Victor has since amassed a overfilled treasure chest of amazing credits. From major motion pictures with luminaries like Arnold Schwarzenegger and Eddie Murphy, he is also, in no order: a New Yorker cartoonist, a National Science Foundation grant winner, and an exec producer/director/screenwriter/comedy short film fest co-creator… the list goes on. He also has a great team on hand at his company, Supreme Robot. We were brought on to assist with some PR and strategy. Advising, agreeing to a plan, then GO TIME.
The challenge was one we relished: we dig video games, and we’ve worked on them since forever at major companies. See Last Call Game for example. We are also super good at online everything for sponsored activations, real-world events, and we know a breakthrough product when we see one. To do this job we knew we had to roll with the continual innovation, and go to bat for it. Easy peasy.
FYI Victor wrote a great blog post about why he created the game, in case you are interested/ ye olde arcade geeks like we are. See: What Is High Score Game Arcade?
3. Success All Around: Podcasts, PR, Parties, Product Hunt, Mr. Piffles +
During our engagement we not only delivered on promises, we went the extra 4762 miles. Yes, exactly that much.
As the contest was running, we helped as a new related offering launched: High Score Host. We were on hand to assist throughout, and even delivered some extras in social and celebrity land including, but not limited to: highly excellent podcast appearances, inviting a guy wearing a cat to the NYC launch party, and finally, having the game’s creator snag a special meet-and-greet with a world-famous magic chihuahua in Vegas. See below for proof:

Yup. Magic. TAH DAH.
We told you it was real. 🪄
PS Thanks to Victor for the awesome quote we will be putting on our website about how awesome we are. The page doesn’t exist yet but will soon, just nailing the boards together now.
Note: We always thought the song “Oh ho ho, it’s Magic” was by ELO, and we were wrong. ELO did do “Strange Magic” and that was exactly the same year: 1975. But Pilot got there first by about two months. Well done, Pilot! Now we gotta fly, so we leave you with a flashback and a love for magic:
